About

Jennie Feyen is a writer-director and video artist who creates work in the speculative fiction genre. Influenced by expressionism and surrealism, her portfolio consists of short films, video installations and projection art.

Having spent time living in Japan, Feyen has cultivated an admiration for traditional Japanese aesthetics, notably drawing inspiration from the profound concept of Yūgen (幽玄). Yūgen is a Zen concept that roughly translates to “mysterious profundity.”

Feyen has just completed the Master’s of Screenwriting course at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS). Her Screenwest-funded short film TOUCH is currently playing in film festivals.
